How Can We Help?
We have determied that some errors are being caused by either
- Word being installed from the Windows Store (this can be when it’s bundled with your PC by the manufacturer)
- Multiple versions of Word being installed on your PC
We have developed a PowerShell script which can detect all installations of Word which you have on your machine it can be found at https://pastebin.com/k7tw8eZn
If any of the detected installations are in a folder that starts with “C:\Program Files\WindowsApps” this indicates that they have been installed from the Microsoft store and should be uninstalled and replaced with the normal ClickToRun installed which you can find at https://portal.office.com/account or https://www.office.com
NB: “C:\Program Files” is windows installation language specific an may vary
